On-Screen Keyboard
If you don't have a MIDI keyboard or acoustic piano available, you can use the built-in On-Screen Keyboard (Piano Visualizer).
How to Use
- •Open a piece in Play or Practice mode
- •Show the keyboard with the on-screen keyboard button on the control bar, or go to Settings → Piano Visualizer and enable Show on-screen keyboard
- •Tap or click the keys to play notes
You can also choose On-Screen Piano during first-time setup.
Piano Visualizer settings
In Settings → Piano Visualizer you can configure:
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Show on-screen keyboard | Show or hide the keyboard |
| Number of octaves | Choose 1, 2, 4, 6, or 8 octaves |
| Fit keyboard to screen | Stretch the keyboard to fill the available width (with a mobile-size caveat on some phones) |
| Show notes during playback | Highlight keys as the piece plays |

For the best learning experience, we highly recommend using a physical MIDI keyboard. The on-screen keyboard is great for quick reference but limited for actual practice.
